SLIDE TEAM UPDATE NO.1-

A call for volunteers to help preserve over 12000 historic photographic slides has led to Rosemary, Eric, Jane, Nancy, Helen and Elva providing their assistance.

Order is now being restored - over 2400 slides have been transferred to new archival sleeves and given a brand-new, database-specific number.

One of the challenges along the way is identifying slides which have no markings -

We shall make available here soon some of those images.

CURRUMBIN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY OFFERES FREE ENTRY TO LORIKEET ARENA, and RETAIL OUTLETS

To celebrate Queensland's 150th Birthday, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary opened the Lorikeet Arena up for free entry from April 4.

The Lorikeet Arena will become the centre of a new dining experience, with the Sanctuary Cafe serving fresh, local food and wine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The new entry system will allow guests to enter the new dining areas without paying admission and explore the Sanctuary's unique retail outlets.
